As a fund raising project, the Pickett County Band is sponsoring a concert by The Standards on November 6 at 7:00 P.M. in the high school gym. This is what Mr. Aldridge said about The Standards in the note he sent out:"The Standards are a very talented and entertaining, mostly a capella singing group who are based out of Nashville. They do a lot of schools shows, as well as community shows such as the one they will be doing here. Their material ranges from very familiar pop songs to other material which includes positive messages."
Tickets are $8.00 each and can be purchased at the elementary or high school offices or at the door. Children age 3 and under are free.
