Santa Clause

We had a very special visitor this morning at the K8....Santa Clause and he even showed up with his reindeer, because from time to time Santa would have to call Rudolph down for prancing around too much on the roof! Everyone loved seeing Santa and the students in PreK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade got to take time to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas!! Merry Christmas to All, and I hope you have a wonderful break!

Magic Show

Tennessee Litter and the Pickett County Government office hosted a Magic Show this afternoon. The students learned about litter and how to help prevent it, while they enjoyed some magic tricks. The show's motto was "Litter Free - Because of You and Me!"

Elementary Love

Buddy Glitter George

Not to be out done by the love birds blossoming on the Middle School end of the building, the teachers on the K-3 side have shared stories about their mischievous elves. Three classrooms have Elves on the Shelf, Mrs. Evans' elf's name is Buddy, Mrs. Danielle's Glitter, and Mrs. Booher's George. These elves have the special job of watching and reporting the day's happenings to Santa each night when they use their special Christmas magic and fly back to the North Pole.

However the exciting things are what students have found each morning when they return to school! It seems that these elves are very MISCHIEVOUS - everything from paperwads, to chairs being overturned, and even a mess from a couple that had too much fun with some glitter! Today's surprise was that it seems Buddy and Glitter have been on a date! There were pictures of them in different places around school, even in Mr. Tompkins' office! Now Mrs. Evans' 2nd graders are keeping an eye on George, they do believe there may be some competition in the near future!

Although, I was unable to be here for the contest Mrs. Sherri took some pictures of the winners and of the fully decorated trees in our front lobby.

Middle School Love

It seems that on the middle school wing of the building we have two new love birds! Just today Ms. Snowgirl Christmas tree in Mrs. Misty Dowdy's classroom has spotted Mr. Snowboy Christmas tree across the hallway in Mrs. Patty Melton's class. As you know there is never a dull moment with the happenings of middle school and these "love-birds" are sure to provide much drama over the next several weeks.
