The fifth grade class began their DARE classes today. Deputy Keith Smith is their instructor. DARE stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. The program will last about 12 weeks, with a weekly Wednesday class. At the end of the twelve weeks, the K-8 fifth graders will have a graduation ceremony. Today's lesson was an introduction to the program and a lesson about decision making. You can learn more about DARE by visiting the DARE website. (click here)
