Unusual Thursday morning
I am happy to report that students are back to learning this morning after the Pickett Co. Fire Dept was dispatched to the K-8 this morning with report of smoke in the building. Staff and fire dept. members acted fast in getting the students to safety. Students were evacuated and redirected to the high school gym. The transition was very smooth. The lunch ladies from the K-8 still provided breakfast for those students who were going to eat. Thank you to everyone who made this unusual morning run more smoothly!
