DECEMBER NEWSLETTER
Dear Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. December is
unbelievably here. The PEACE Program trip to the Dixie Stampede is
Saturday, December 7th. this is for the students who attended the PEACE
Program a minimum of 25 times from the beginning of the school year.
They will leave the K-8 at 7:15 a.m. and return by 5:30 p.m.
The 6th grade will be going on their school trip to Nashville, on
Wednesday, December 11th. They will leave by 8:15 a.m. and return by
6:00 p.m. The 5th grade will be going to Jamestown to the movies on
Monday, December 16th. They will leave at 8:05 a.m. and return before
the end of the school day. The 6th grade will be going to Cookeville to
bowl on Monday, December 16th. They will leave by 8:15 a.m. and return
before the end of the school day.
Christmas lunch will be served on Tuesday, December 17th for students
and families of grades 5th through 8th. Please look for a note coming
home in the coming days to help us get an accurate count.
Kindergarten and Pre-k will be going to Jamestown t the movies on
Wednesday, December 18th. They will leave by 8:15 a.m. and return before
the end of the school day.
Christmas parties will be held Thursday, December 19th. Please look for notes home from classroom teachers with details.
Friday, December 20th will be an abbreviated day, marking the
beginning of Christmas Break with school dismissing at 9:00 a.m.
Students will return to school on Monday, January 6th.

Dec. 4th-last day to turn in Christmas Portrait orders
Dec. 5th, 7th, 9th- Dale Hollow Classic Tournament- home
Dec. 12th- 7/8 girls/boys basketball game-Pine Haven-away-6p.m.
Dec. 16th- 7/8 girls/boys basketball game-South Cumberland-home-6p.m.
Dec. 17th-5/6 girls/boys basketball game-South Cumberland-away-6p.m.
Dec. 19th-6 girls/ 7/8 girls/boys basketball game-Rickman-home-5:30p.m.
