PICKETT CO. K-8 SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

Dear Families,
     Time is passing so quickly. The 1st month of school is behind us already. We are in the middle of our recipe collection for our cookbook fundraiser. If you have not sent your child's/children's recipes in, please do so by Sept. 11. We will begin cookbook sales on Sept. 9 and continue until Sept. 20.

*Fall pictures will be taken on Wednesday, Sept 4th. This will be for all grades.

*TCAP scores from last year will be sent home on Friday, Sept. 6th.

*Sixth grade Rada sales will end on Friday, Sept. 6th.

*We will be collecting telephone books this year. The collection window will be Sept. 9th through Sept. 23rd. Rewards are as follows:
    - The school receives $1.00 for each telephone book collected.
    - Highest collecting classroom per county will receive $200.00 Visa Gift Card, 2nd place will receive $125.00 Visa Gift Card, and 3rd place will receive a $75.00 Visa Gift Card.
    - Highest collecting classroom per school- ice cream party!!
*Progress reports will be sent home on Thursday, Sept. 12th.

*Big South Fork Storytelling will be Tuesday, Sept. 17th at the following times:
     12:20-1:00- K-2nd
     1:10-1:50- 3rd-5th
     2:00-2:40- 6th-8th

*Boy Scouts representative will meet with 1st through 5th grade boys on Monday, Sept. 23rd at 1:30 in the cafeteria.

*We have the following basketball games scheduled for September:
     Sept. 20- away- Algood- 5/6-girls/boys-5:00 p.m.

     Sept. 23- home- Allardt- 5/6- girls/ boys- 6:00 p.m.

     Sept. 26- away-Allardt-5/6 girls/boys- 6:00 p.m.

     Sept. 27- home- Algood-5/6 girls/boys-5:00 p.m.

     Sept. 30- away- Burkesville-6/8-5:00p.m.

*We have the following Jr. High football games scheduled for Sept. :
     Sept. 10- home- Robbins-Homecoming-6:30 p.m.

     Sept. 12-home- Jackson Co. -6:30 p.m.

     Sept. 26-away- Robbins- 6:30 p.m.
