Cookbook Fundraiser

PICKETT COUNTY K-8 SCHOOL WIDE COOKBOOK FUNDRAISER

We will be doing a school wide fundraiser this year. We have chosen to do cookbooks. One cookbook will be created for grades PreK-4 and another will be created for grades 5-8.

We are asking each student to bring in 2 recipes. Please make sure they are easy to read so we can reproduce them accurately in our cookbooks. Make sure student's first and last names are on the recipes they turn in. We ask for recipes to be sent to school as quickly as possible. THE DEADLINE FOR RECIPES WILL BE WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 11TH.

We are selling advertising pages to help with the cost of production. If you have a business and would like to purchase an ad, please contact us and we will get that set up. We are also selling dedication ads that parents, grandparents, etc. can purchase to dedicate an ad space to a specific student or students. The cost of all ads are as follows:

FULL PAGE= $100.00
1/2 PAGE=$55.00

1/3 PAGE=$40.00

1/4 PAGE=$30.00

1/6 PAGE=$25.00

PATRON PAGE=$15.00- IS 1 LINE ONLY

If you would like to purchase a dedication ad, please contact the school with what you want the ad to say along with payment. Make all checks payable to PICKETT COUNTY K-8.

We are expecting to start taking cookbook orders on Sept. 9th with all orders to be turned in by Sept. 20th. Cookbooks should be available for delivery around the beginning of November, which will be in plenty of time to use them for Christmas gifts. Information on pricing will be included on the information sent home with your child when the cookbook sales begin.

We are offering student and classroom incentives for both cookbooks. There will be a grand prize seller for each cookbook as well as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place prizes. The top three selling classrooms in PreK-4 and in grades 5-8 will receive monetary prizes for use within their class. 

Student prizes are as follows:
        Every student who brings in their 2 recipes will receive a candy prize.

5TH PRIZE WINNERS- JENSEN PORTABLE SPEAKER SYSTEM WITH CARRY POUCH FOR iPODS, iPHONES, AND MP3 PLAYERS.

*Classroom prizes will be awarded in proportion to total fundraiser sales.

PLEASE SEND A TOTAL OF 2 RECIPES. RECIPES CAN BE 2 OF YOUR CHILD'S GRADE LEVEL CATEGORY OR ANY COMBINATION OF THE CATEGORIES.
For example: 8th grade students can submit 2 rolls, 2 breads, 2 main dishes, 2 desserts or any combination of the categories.
