Dear Families,
We have had a great first month of school. I want to thank everyone for being understanding about not picking students up early in the afternoons. Teachers as well as staff have made very positive comments about how students are staying until the end of the school day.
We regret that we will not have Afterschool in the afternoons for grades K-3 this year because of a lack of funding.
There are several things going on in the month of September. Progress reports will go home on Friday, September 7th. School will be dismissed at 12:00pm on Friday, September 7th, as well. The 1st and 2nd grades will be taking the Stanford Achievement Test on Monday, September 10th, Tuesday, September 11th, and Wednesday, September 12th. This is a state mandated test.
We will have Big South Fork Storytellers on Friday, September 14th. Kindergarten thru 2nd grades will be in the gym from 12:20 - 1:00pm, 3rd thru 5th grades will be in the gym from 1:10-1:50pm, and 6th thru 8th grades will be in the gym from 2:00-2:40pm.
