February Newsletter
Dear Families,
I want to update everyone how we have been using our US Cellular money. It took all of about a week after we received our check for a copy machine to die. We have purchased a new copy machine along with buying toner in bulk to get a better price. Teachers have all be given a portion to use in their classrooms. We have also updated our surveillance system to better serve the needs of our students and staff. We will be doing other things in the near future so be watching the newsletter for updates.
The 5th and 8th grades take the TCAP Writing Assessment on Wednesday, February 1st, with a test makeup day on Thursday, February 2nd.
Junior Pro basketball will be starting in March after Spring Break. The program with be open to students in grades 1-6. If your child is interested in playing this year, please complete the Jr. Pro Basketball Application that should go home on February 1st. Applications are to be turned in to your child's homeroom teacher by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17th by 3:00pm. NO Applications will be accepted after this date. T-shirt samples for sizes will be available in the K-8 office.
The last home basketball game will be Thursday, February 9th, at 6:00pm. We will also have 8th Grade Sports night then as well.
