I am so tired. . . .
It was a big day in kindergarten, the first day all the classmates had been together, but a big comfy chair in the library at story time was just too much!
Mrs. Elizabeth's Science Room
I wanted you to see Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson's 5/6 Science Room. She spent a lot of time getting it in shape for the year. Her mom was the artist who did the great drawings and paintings that you see. (We all need a little help from our moms, no matter how old we get!) It looks great! Thanks, Mrs. Elizabeth, for making our school a pleasant place to be! They also have a new pet in the room that I will feature in a later blog!

Handbooks
Today, Mrs. Garrett, gave handbooks to grades 3-8. She discussed the highlights with each group. Inside the front cover you will find a page that needs to be signed and returned to school. Please review the handbook with your child and be familiar with the rules and procedures.
Students in grades K-2 will receive their handbooks on Monday and their classroom teachers will explain them.
If you have questions the front cover contains information for contacting the school by e-mail and phone.

Wednesday's the Big Day!
Put away the summer stuff and get out the books! The first day of school is tomorrow, we will all meet in the gym and go to morning classes from there. The biggest change this year will be the way we load buses and car riders. Because of safety concerns, bus riders will be called first and then car riders will be released. Please have patience while we all become accustomed to our new schedules and get everything sorted out and working efficiently.
