DECEMBER NEWSLETTER
Dear Families,
It is very hard to believe that December is already here. We have only three weeks until Christmas Break.
We are having our annual Christmas Tree Ornament Contest again this year. Each grade will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. First place will receive a $15 gift card, 2nd place will receive a $10 gift card, and 3rd place will receive a $5 gift card. Deadline for entering ornaments will be Wednesday, December 3rd at 8:55 a.m.
The 5th grade will be going to The Cumberland County Playhouse on Wednesday, December 3rd. They will return to school before the end of the day. Kindergarten and pre-k will be going to Jamestown to the movies on Friday, December 5th. They will return to school before the end of the day. The 6th grade will be going to Cookeville for a bowling trip on Tuesday, December 9th. They will return to school before the end of the day. The 4th grade will be going to Jamestown to the movies on Friday, December 12th. They will
return to school before the end of the day.
Students who qualified for the PEACE Trip need to get their forms turned in on Friday, December 5th by 3:00 p.m. To qualify for the trip, students in kindergarten through 3rd grades had to attend the PEACE Program a total of 15 days through October 31st. Students in 4th through 8th grades had to attend the PEACE Program a total of 25 days through October 31st.
Christmas lunch will be served on Tuesday, December 16th. Students in grades 5th through 8th will be allowed to have 2 guests eat with them that day. We will send home letters in the near future to get a count of guests who will be attending.
We will have a Christmas Music Program on Wednesday, December 17th at 2:00 p.m. The program will consist of singing in grades kindergarten through 6th, and Christmas Music provided by the band.
Thursday, December 18th will be our traditional Christmas Party day. Each teacher will send home notes about each specific party. We will also have a Jump Rope program at 2:00 p.m. in the gym on this day as well.
Buses will run at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19th to begin our Christmas
Break!
