Safari Greg and Critters at the Library
The library's summer reading program came to an end with Safari Greg's annual visit. As usual he kept the children entertained while he threw in a couple of lesson about wildlife. He's always a hit because he brings some critters with him. This year he had a white corn snake, an African tortoise, a cayman and a python.
There was a total of 1200 books read by the children who participated in the program!

Science Guy @ Summer Reading July 23
Mr. Bond, the Science Guy, entertained the children at Pickett County Library's Summer Reading Program on July 23. Many people in the audience participated in the program. Everyone had lots of fun learning about and seeing experiments with electricity. The electric chair at the end of the program was a big hit! And a little bit of a shock!!
The last program will be Thursday, July 30th at 10:30 and will feature Safari Greg.
