Cranberry Juice Taste Test

Mrs. Lisa Cummings with School Coordinated Health recently sponsored a taste test for the students. They sampled cranberry juice and then voted by dropping a colored paper square into a jar. Students chose a green square if they liked the juice and red if they did not. The final vote was 340 greens and 109 reds! Some moms report that students requested they buy some cranberry juice when they went grocery shopping.

Cornucopia Coloring Contest Update

Response to the Cornucopia Coloring Contest was tremendous! Thanks to all who entered, everyone colored so well it was hard for the judge to pick a winner. And who knew so many adults still love to color!

8th Grade Baby Pictures

Eighth graders who want to use their baby pictures in the yearbook MUST turn them in on Wednesday, November 19th. I have to complete these pages to meet my publishing deadlines or we have to pay extra for the yearbook!
If I do not receive your baby photo I will use the regular school photo made at the beginning of this year.

Cornucopia Coloring Contest

Entries for the Cornucopia Coloring Contest are due on Wednesday, November 19th. Remember it is open to everyone--even adults can enter. The coloring sheets are just outside Mrs. Alice's office door--across from the gym.

Adventures of Thomas T. Turkey

This is Thomas T. Turkey, he has been going home with students and asking their families to make a list of what they are thankful for this year. (These lists are displayed in the front hallways of our school, you should stop by and see them.)
Last weekend he went home with the Dowdy Family and had a little adventure! Thomas T. went to jail. He was not in trouble or anything, he even was allowed to be an honorary dispatcher while he was there.
Keyton was Thomas T's host, so he took him along to help celebrate his friend, Jason's birthday. Keyton gave Thomas T. a tour of the jail and advised him that it was not a pleasant place to be and that he should always stay on the outside of the jail cells!

Door Winners

Mrs. Booher's Kindergarten class were the winners of the door decorating contest held this week as part of the homecoming activities.

Special Hats

On Hat Day this week Emilee and Elisabeth wore hats their grandpa had loaned to them. They are pretty special because these are the hats he wore when he was in the United States Navy more than 50 years ago! What stories these hats could tell!
